I am not able to print from the second computer on the
network unless the main computer is turned on.If the main
computer is off, nothing prints. I have Windows XP. What
am I doing wrong?

If the printer is attached to the main computer, the main computer will need
to be on for the printer to be shared.

Thanks. Now, how do I set it up so I can print without
having both computers on? I want to be able to do it
either way. DO I need to network differently?

If the printer has an ethernet port, it could be connected directly to a
switch or hub on the network and configured as a network printer, but it
probably only has a parallel port or USB connection.
