Swifttech MC-462-A and Gigabyte GA-7DXR

has anyone successfully installed the Swifttech MC-462-A on the Gigabyte GA-7DXR, I have bought the Swifttech first brfore the motherboard and i have read that it's not Compatible w/ Gigabyte GA-7DXR.

please let me know if this is true.

I don't have my swiftech on my GA-DX7R. It does have the holes. However, I think there is a couple of capacitors that could block prevent the oversized HSF. It’s definitely close. Judging by my measurements of the holes and the socket it should fit with about 3mm to spare. However depending on the placement of your power source you could have a problem with that as the socket is very close to the edge with the GA-DX7R and there would be about a cm overrun above the board. If it were a regular HSF I’d pop it off and check it out, but it’s not a regular HSF.
