Maybe you will have to redown load the direct X or maybe this will help? I hope you get it figured out and I do feel for you because I know what a game braker it is not to play the game you just got. Good luck to you.

normally only shows up when your trying to use unsupported hardware like a gts 210 or a low end ati card/intel igp...
whats the specs of your system that your trying to run it on?.
