How do i install skyrim on my computer

My son bought Skyrim for his laptop. Finally was able to install it. He was playing the game but had some major lag problems. Now he has bought a new laptop: HP with a quad-core, 8 gigs ddr, 750 Gig hardrive. I can't even get the software to install either by auto launch, from the run command or by going through the computer prompt. It won't even let me explore the CD. Tried to make an account at Stream but keep getting disconnected.

Any help?

Ok try this log on to Steam and go to your game and down load the game from your Steam account. As for why it won't down load from the disk I don't know why. Good luck to you.
