Hey, I'm gonna buy an Athlon 1.4GHz 266FSB Retail soon. I noticed that it says it comes with a HSF. I eventually plan to overclock, and I was wondering if it'd be a good idea to replace the one they give you in the retail box. if its not attached already I'd get a new one, but if its already attached, is it safe to take it off and put a new one on? thanks

The HSF does not come attatched to the CPU.
You might be able to reach 1.5 with the stock HSF, 1.6 if your lucky. Just use MBM 5 to check the temp, if it's under 60 celcius and your running stable with no lock-ups, just keep it. If it's over, you might want to change it.
