More about parts compatible
  1. Yes all parts will go together fine, for gaming Intels i3 2100 gives better performance at the same price (unless you plan to overclock the 965 to 3.8GHz+) and the Pentium g8xx series offer similar performance at a lower price allowing you to spend more on the GPU. This change would mean you need a different motherboard. Read this article for more CPU info http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,review-32466.html
