Computer Temperature

When I'm running my computer and I look into my bios at startup it says that my System temperature is at 27 degrees Celcius and that my CPU temperature is 50 degrees celcius. Is this good or bad? What should a safe temperature be? I'm asking cause recently my computer locks up on booting, and that this might be the problem.

You should be trying to get that CPU temp down to 40C. Perhaps a better HSF solution, or better yet get the air around the CPU moving out through an exhaust in the top of the case.

50C IMO is ok, lower is always better. I dont think that temp would cause boot problems at all.

Could you inform us of what your system comprises of, is it overclocked, what PSU do you have, hardware etc...

More likely to be something along those lines, without knowing what you have I cant even speculate why it locks up!
