when your game crashes do you get a BSOD or just a reboot? or does the computer just shut off cold?

go to start > type in event viewer

under windows logs check system logs for any stop errors or critical errors.
same place also check application logs. lastly under custom views, check administrative events.

you said you've installed the CPU cooler, so that no longer has a cooling problem. What about your GPU?

is this happening with only one game or several games? does it only happen with games or does it happen when you're browsing internet/watching movie?

so have you ran scandisk as it asks?

my guess is either your OS is corrupted or your HDD is slowly failing.

if scan disk doesn't help, I would try formatting the HDD and reinstalling OS from scratch. If the problem persists, get a new HDD

Go to Computer right click on the drive select properties from the menu then the tools tab. The top option is error checking click check now. make sure you tick the box Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
