We have upgraded our computers to XP from 98.

Our main printing is done from a NEC Superscript 870 from one of the XP
computers.

The XP computer prints much slower than the old 98 computers and in the
wrong place. i.e 1 line higher than it is supposed to which since we have a
lot of forms is v. aggravating.

When printing from one of the old 98 computers via the network everything
still works as it should.

I believe the spooling etc are set correctly. it is the same in both
machines.
Any ideas please.

right click "administrative Templates" and click add remove templates. you will then have a dialg box with a list of templates. Click Add and this should open the Windows\system32\inf folder and list a number of .ADM files. From the list add in Conf.adm and System.adm. Close the Add/Remove temples box and you should now have the requied options
