printing mirror images

i have a hp office jet 5500 series and i am trying to
print text in mirror image on transfer paper and i can't
get it to work. what do i have to do to print this the
way i want it. it is mirror image on microsoft works but
when i print it comes out the way i typed it in.

Either:

Use a graphics program to mirror the image, save the mirrored image and
print that file. Do NOT select T-Shirt transfer paper in the Properties of
the printer when you come to print it.
or
Select T-Shirt transfer paper in the Properties of the printer when you use
File, Print.
