Epson L-1000 with Win XP Pro. When printing invoices in accounting, the
printer will jump lines when asked to print, causing the form to go beyond
end of page. This did not happen prior to Win XP (ok in Win 2000). Ideas?

This might be a driver issue, or a printer dip switch setting/ printer
control panel setting, or the printer port speed.
Check the printer dip switch or control panel settings. there may be
something set that is adding line feeds.
Check the driver settings and see if an updated driver is available. You may
end up uninstalling and reinstalling the existing driver. If this is the4
case, make sure you have the driver install package before you uninstall it.
Finally, The parallel port speed may be just a little bit to fast. Changing
the parallel port mode in BIOS from ECP/EPP to standard port may help. This
may prompt the install/reinstall of the windows port driver.

You did not mention what driver you are using with this printer.
