Video card for BF3

A person is offering me a GTX 465 for $100, I was wondering if I'd be able to run it on med/high? I don't really care for running it on ultra but I have seen a few videos where people are running it on ultra with good fps...those are on higher resolutions, my monitor allows only up to 1280x1024 resolution, so does that mean i'd be able to run it on ultra? The person selling it to me claims it can run Skyrim max at 1080p. Here are my specs.

Intel i-7 870 @ 2.93GHZ

I would say ultra would be serioulsy pushing it. Medium settings, maybe.

[strike]For BF3 med/low for sure at that res. For Skyrim med/high at that res. But it all depends on what kind of PSU you have and if it can handle the GTX 465.[/strike]

The only way you will for sure find out what settings your rig will play those games at is to try them. But for the most part in general is what we have stated. Good luck and have fun gaming.

EDIT: My bad I wasn't looking at the res I thought you were talking about higher res then the 1080 I do apologize with the lower res you will be able to play on high to ultra on both games.
