Hi all, does anyine have any experience of replacing a cmos battery on an
older compaq board, the type that is held in a retaining clip and seems to
be welded to it.
I know you can purchase a replacement 4.5v battery pack and attatch it via
separate jumpers on the board but these are expensive compared to a good old
cr2032.
The PC is an AP400 450mhz.

The auxiliary 4.5v battery is the only replacement for those older boards
with non-removeable lithium batteries.
