Will you have this game when it's out?
Some features are back from the original like the assault mode.

I'm sure I'll buy it, just because I'm a sucker for the UT bots. It's looking more and more like Halo with every passing day, though. I'm anxious to see if it brings back any of the hardcore original UT fans.

UT2003 gameplay is somewhat flop.

I doubt I'll buy it. UT2003 was not a good game. They'll really have to prove to me in the reviews as well as the demo that they released a game that wasn't purely relying on the reputation of the original game.

It smells like EA (ie: UT2003, 2004, 2005) they have apparently made a fair few changes to make it worthwile. UT2K3 isnt a great game but its strong point for me is it a laugh when playing networked.

Yes i mean by graphics. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed UT2k3 ,im not that good but I wasn't hooked to it like Unreal Tournament. I played UT night and day and still i sucked but i enjoyed it more than UT2k3. I hope UT2k4 brings back the escence.

UT2k3 didn't got too much critics due to it's benchmarking capability.

I got used to the annoying commentator after a while. He's alot perkier than the guy in original UT though. Just takes some time to warm up to him =)

yeah, hes more in ya face than in the original...shame there isnt an option to switch it off for those who dont like it plus an option to edit it and put your own samples in there....could get quite funny!

Maybe edit sounds for particular players...there is a Bender (from Futurama) model out there, could have some great taunts etc....sorry off on a tangent.

There is no commentator in the Orginal UT. The original UT is an outstanding game. IF you have never tried it, it will be WELL worth your money to pick this title up from the bargain bin. As for UT2K3, I have only played the demo and what really killed the appeal of this game in my opinion is the voices of the bots and the numerous similarities to Quake 3 Arena. I felt that if they would have used orignal UT as their role model as opposed Quake 3, this game would have had a much better feel to it.

I was a hardcore UT player and UT2k3 was a huge dissapointment, I played it for a couple of days and then shelved it. All the mayhem and fun were gone. I hope they learnt their lesson with 2004

I hope so too. This goes to show you that graphical aesthetics in a games aren't as important as they're hyped up to be. I'd MUCH RATHER have spectular game that has a low, or medium amount of graphical detail than a game with mediocre gameplay and gorgeous graphics. Take a look at Half-Life, that engine was never remarkable, but its one game that actually holds its replay value even up until today. If ANYONE here hasn't beaten' Half-Life, (On difficult) you just don't know what your missing. I say play on difficult because so many people play games these days on default or even easy settings and they will exclaim, "WTF!!! I beat this game in 3 days!! What a rip off" Games aren't really worth playing if you don't play on a challenging setting. If easy or medium is challenging to you personally for games, than its probably worth plahing on these settings. If not, don't complain until you turn up the difficulty and experience the game it was meant to be played.
