I just recently bought this card, and have just started oveclocking it. I'm able to hit 255 MHz core & 515MHz memeory without extra cooling, and it works out fine, but if I try to boot with these settings the windows desktop turns up distorted and won't work properly (usual when the memory clock is set too high, I know).

Why is it that its stable through all kind of games & benchmarks, but won't boot windows??? I can barely break 480MHz before it [-peep-] up.

I use NVmax for overcolcking & tweaking.

Core speed affects tolerable memory speed, since there are more gains through memory than core overclocking I suggest you try something more reasonable like 225/500, then raise the memory from there if that stabilizes it.

Back to you Tom...
