Hi,
I have just installed Mandrake 10 (community) and updated for bug fixes.
While Mandrake Control Center displays the IP4 IP addres of my cards, ifconfig displays the following:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:50:FC:E4:23:2F
inet6 addr: fe80::250:fcff:fee4:232f/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:5 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:378 (378.0 b)
Interrupt:10 Base address:0x7000
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0D:87:06:16:80
inet6 addr: fe80::20d:87ff:fe06:1680/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:5 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:378 (378.0 b)
Interrupt:11 Base address:0xec00
How can I display the IP4 address in ifconfig too? Is it related to the new 2.6.x kernel?
