I have XP Pro SP2 installed and am trying to get a Brother
1440 printer shared on network. I had it set up on my
laptop prior to this and it was shared with the network. I
am trying to move it to a central computer now. I have the
printer installed and working fine but when I go to share
printer I get the error

Printer Properties
Printer setting could not be saved. Operation could not be
completed.

I am lost. I have checked the firewall, the sharing
properties, and drivers for printer. Nothing I am doing
seems to get it to accept it. Please send some suggestion.

Have you enabled printer and file sharing using this method:
Start-Control Panel-Network Connections-Set up a home or small office
network-Enable Printer and File Sharing?

No I had not set up the home network with windows yet. I
just tried to do it and it gave me an error that it could
not complete the setup and that I can do it manualy. I can
go and see other computer on network and had previously
been sharing the printer with a different computer that was
using XP Home. Still trying to figure this out.
