Steam offline mode

I reinstalled steam just now and tried to launch it but it says I`m in a offline mode and need to be in online mode to update the steam.

I can`t figure out what to do and it`s bugging the hellll out of me

please help

uninstall it and run a regcleaner. then do a search for steam.
if the search shows up clean reboot and install steam again. hopefully it will then load the default online mode...
if that doesnt happen then open steam and enable it via the tools options.
