I didn't really know where to put this one... forgive me

My NetGear FA310TX gets pissy when I raise FSB. (More specifically, I can OC farther without it than I can with it installed.) Is this a general network card thing or is it the brand?

Any suggestions on a replacement? (if it will make a difference)

agreed!

now the question is, do all NICs behave this sensitively, or is there a brand difference.

I'm looking to find out if a replacement (some other brand) will put up with the raised FSB/PCI better.

It's dependent on the brand/model. Certain cards can handle the higher PCI bus speed better than others.

Thx man, I'll give it a try. I had always hesitated to mess with it or DDRamVCC because I don't know what to watch to make sure I don't take it too far....

any tips?

The I/O voltage default should be 3.3 volts. Just keep increasing it slowly until you get system stability. I wouldn't go any higher than 3.6 or 3.7 volts, though.

Would you like a Quarter Pounder?
No, thank you. Just give me the BIG heatsink. It's an Athlon.

(I'm still hopin that maybe there are less sensitive NICs out there.... love to get the gains of both your suggestions and a NIC that doesn't mind runnin at 35MHz or so)
