It's very doubtful that the DeskPro EN 6400 motherboard was made by Intel.
AFAIK, Compaq has relied on 3rd party contract electronics manufacturers like
Mitac to fabricate motherboards and assemble systems. Flashing the motherboard
with an Intel BIOS, if successfully completed, would very likely turn the board
into a useless hunk of electronic scrap. The motherboard very likely uses an
Intel chipset, typical of higher end Compaq DeskPros (compared to the low-end
consumer grade Presario electro-trash)... Ben Myers
