bios and probe shows different temp'

hi
i have asus cuv4x with p3-733
it wasn't OCed till today,
i started messing with the comp,
flashed bios to 1009 from 1004,
OCed fsb and momory cas,
and then i started to get beeps, the heat passed 90C
i put the bios hardware monitor on ignore ... bcoz-
the probe i d/led from asus, say its on 46C
so to which 1 i need to believe ?

If it was at 90oC, it would be dead or unable to boot already.
