Since I installed SP2 from the MS website, SP2 has been
turning off my print spooler on startup preventing me
from printing unless I manually 'Start' the spooler.
Windows firewall is turned off and I'm using a Canon i550
printer. I've spent at lest three hours chatting with MS
techs, to no avail. I'm fed up,again, with Microsoft. If
need be, I'll just uninstall SP2 and use my Zone Alarm
Pro firewall. SP2 has been nothing but trouble for me.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem. I'm also fed up
with waiting for "5 seconds" which 20 minutes later
changes to 56 seconds, then to 5 minutes, then to.....you
get the idea.

Have you tried re-installing the printer?..
