Hey, is there enyone that have had succes with unlocking the Athlon XP??? And how is it done. Am I wrong if I say is is the L3 and L4, that determens the multiplier???

Help...

I'm running a Athlon XP 1700+(made to 133 x 11 = 1463Mhz), I can get up to 144 x 11 = 1584Mhz, but crases in some things. Did I say that I'm running Windows XP(can that be my problem?). To prevent it from crasing I'm running her at 141 x 11 = 1551Mhz. I have tried to run her at 150 x 11 = 1650Mhz, but she restarted just before the desktop was loaded.... Not cool....

I'm using a ThermalTake Volcano6Cu+, and I think it is good enough, for now, the temp, is at max 51C... I have 256MB DDR Ram from Twinmos... It all sits on a MSI K7T 266 Pro2-RU...

Know the problem is that I would like to take her to the MAX, so how do I unlock the heart of my dear computer???

i lost the site that teaches on how to unlock the multiplier but if u want to increase the FSB somemore, try increasing VCORE by 0.1 and slowly not exceeding 0.3 voltage

<A HREF="http://www.oc-athlonxp.com" target="_new">http://www.oc-athlonxp.com</A> you can find the diagrams and charts for unlocking the AthlonXP.

<A HREF="http://www.athlonoc.com" target="_new">http://www.athlonoc.com</A> could also help.

Well, I think there is one error in last article on unlocking XP. I have tried to unlock XP 1500 and got strange results - unlocked multiplier works well in range between 7.0 and 10.5. Not under or over. The only thing I can suppose is L4 bridges (I suspect last one). If I'm right unlocking of 1700+ will work fine for up multipliers but not for under ones.

here is one more link to <A HREF="http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/01q4/011112/index.html" target="_new">unlocking AthlonXP multiplier</A>

BTW 1.85V is quite okay if you are overclocking, but if you arent better get it back to normal.
