Installing HP Printer

I purchased a new comptuer with XP on it. I have a HP
OfficeJet G85 Series. I had it instaall when I first got
the computer, but I had to uninstall it and I no longer
can install it back. All last week I was on the phone
with HP and they can not figure out the problem. This
error comes up. "SEVERE ERROR" and "Commit failed -
hresult=80004005". Then a final error message pops up
with "rror info from ommit". Device i/o has not been
initialized. You must set either the device info
property, or the port id, parm file name, pr\arm base
name, dot 4 lib name, and old lib name properties first.

know what this means and why it won't let the software
finish installing. I hope you can help me.
