How do you email pictures to the phone?
-- I have a small picture on my computer.
-- From my computer I send it to my phone: [phone_number]@vzwpix.com.
-- My phone beeps and says that I have a picture message and to go to
vzwpix.com to retrieve.
-- I go back to my computer and login to vzwpix.com and see a
thumbnail of the picture.
At the web site what do I do to get the picture into my phone?

I follow the same steps when e-mailing a pic to my 7000. I never get told to
go to vzwpix.com. I simply save the pic to my phone.

I must have something set either on my phone or at vzwpix that
prohibits it. I am not subscribed to any extra service for messaging
or internet access. I've been told I pay 2cents a message to receive
text and 25cents for pictures, send and receive.
I can receive text messages through [phone_number]@vtext.com.
When it didn't work as expected (like yours works) I figure that there
is good reason for that because you don't want to end up with a $25
charge on your bill because somebody sends you a hundred pictures that
you don't want. How would Verizon deal with that situation?

I can send and receive them without problems (vx7000) and I don't have a
package deal. I used to have a choice to d/l but I changed a setting so they
are automatically downloaded. Maybe your phone has a similar setting?
What format was the image? How many pics are on the phone already? When I
sent a pic to my vtext address, I got the url, but the vzwpix address sends
the pics to the phone.

Reggie,
Your phone is telling you this because verizon has not enabled your account
to receive pictures. Call customer service and state that you aren't
receiving pictures and can't access GetItNow applications on your phone.
They might baulk (I had this happen and they didn't believe me at first).

You have to call them and have them turn on picture messaging on your
account. I had the same problem when I bought my v710.

I went in to a Verizon store to buy a belt clip and at the same time
we experimented and got the phone to receive pictures with email.
