Looking for a compatable joystick...

Well, after 5 years of use on XP, Windows 7 has made my Sidewinder pro 3D (SWP) stick unrecognizable and obsolete. Now I need a new one.

I need some advice on a good joystick for Win7/FSX. I would like it to be similar to my old SWP stick:

1. Must be USB.
2. Must have a throttle similar to the SWP. (Large tab throttle, NOT a slider wheel)

I was looking at the Thrustmaster 2960694 joystick as an alternative:

Does anyone know what else is out there that is similar to my old SWP 3D?

Or you can look for an updated driver for win7 for that Joystick of yours. Also try troubleshoot compatibility in installing the Joystick's driver it might work.

does not exist. microsoft hired some company to make this product for them, that company made the drivers. since then the company is no longer in business which is why microsoft dropped driver support for it.

OP: how about something from Logitec?
