I have FAX in HP PavilionXP with a Lucent Modem, and SBC DSL Modem Is it
possible that there is a conflict here that keeps me from receiving faxes? I
can send faxes.

There probably isn't any conflict between the two devices. Norton's
Internet Security system can cause Fax problems, so there is a possibility
that McAfee could as well. The most common cause for this sort of error is
a Fax modem that isn't on the Windows XP Hardware Compatibility List:

Or that one that doesn't have the latest drivers installed.
