Im having the same problem when i go to print an error message cames up
saying that the devices cant communicate and that i should go to the control
panel to view the MS Services applet. When i go there it then tells me that
it cant commuincate with the devices and to check if ive got the printer
turned on which it is, its connected to my Laptop via USB cable, ive
uninstalled the printer and it still wont print, ive got the Canon MPC190
multifunction. Any one who can help would be great.

Get the hotfix from Microsoft for the Canon multifunction units:
