i have a QDI BrillianX 1S motherboard with a 440BX chipset. i read that the 440BX can run at 133FSB.it is a jumperless board and i can set the FSB in the bios to 100,103,112 and 133FSB.i have 133mhz ram running at 100mhz on a Pentium 2 400 processor.if i set it to 133 the system wont boot.itwill boot at 112 but not 133.can anybody help?thanks.

Can your CPU run at 133, if it's a 100 MHz model it won't work.
And be sure that your FSB rate is set to 1/4 instead of 1/3 otherwise you will increase AGP and PCI speed too.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground  .

The PCI bus on the BX runs @ 1/3 or 1/2
The AGP runs at 1/1 or 2/3

At 133MHz the PCI is @ 44MHz and the GP is @ 89MHz.
Although these bus will work, your processor needs to be 133 and the gfx card needs to be able to hndle the overclocking. My ATI Rage Fury and Radeon cards worked with it. You might get lucky with the processor but watch out for temps when messing with FSB settings & voltages.

Most TNT2 cards will work at the 89MHz AGP clock, some won't. My V770 does, your's may not. But it's far more likely a problem with your processor. You see, to overclock a PII that far requires addtional voltage, and still is not garunteed. Tom had an article on pin mods that could be helpfull if you want to raise your core voltage, but I wouldn't even bother, since you'll probably run into other porblems with that CPU. You could run a PIII 500E, 550E, 600E, 650E, or 700E at the higher bus speed to overclock it, but earlier processors are mostly a no-go.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
