Does anyone have a list of or know of a list of Verizon codes such as:

#sos or #767- road side assistance
#86 - voice mail
*228 - auto program or auto update roaming software
922 / 923 - movie phone or GPS location data

Wouldn't it seem logical that these are system-wide codes and not specific
to your phone?

some of these codes are local. like 922 does weird stuff. if you tamper
with the system menu it can display your gps coordinates on screen, but
the phone may be a radio station, transfer to roaming. what does 922
connect to in other areas?
