I would like to hook my Xbox 360 up to my PC so I can output the sound through my 5.1 surround sound system. Here's my setup thus far:
30" Dell 3007WFPHC
27" Acer S271HL
So, I've seen tutorials online of people doing the 3.5mm converter thing, I just want to know if there is another way. I'm not 100% sure, but I think my Acer has a audio out jack (not listed in the specs but there is something that looks like it's for headphones right on the back of the monitor). I have my 360 hooked up to that monitor via HDMI, and the monitor is hooked up to the computer via DVI-MiniDisplayport. So does anybody know if I can use that jack in the back for something? Or am I stuck with having to use the component cables (which I don't know where they are)?
