Alpha heatsink users known that they had been told to install fan in 'suck' orientation, but this may not be the best orientation.

The article at <A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1571" target="_new">Anandtech</A> saying that in 1U case, we should blow.

This is true, I tried it in my friend's system (Alpha Pal 6035 in full tower case), the fan blow towards heatsink reduce his hot Athlon 3C lower than sucking air from heatsink.

Those of you that using Alpha heatsink may give it a trial.

If the ALPHA test proved to them the temperature was cooler, it was not mounted to a mb. You would be pulling hot air off the mb into the bottom of the hs. The further away you get from the mb the cooler the temp so blowing into the hs would be cooler.
