Some of you crackpots have to know something about printers. I have a laserjet 8150N. It has an optional 2000 sheet tray. Tray 2 & 3 print fine. The optional tray prints 1/8" to high on the page. Does anyone know how or where to adjust this, if it can even be done. This is a checks printer so it has to be exact. I need some help. This is driving me crazy. I've been dealing with this [-peep-] all week and can't get my other calls done until this is resolved.

Bah. I won't fvck [-peep-] up. I know how to align it right or left, but I don't know if you can even adjust the vertical alignment. This is an eval model, so I'm not sure if I can call regular support or not. I have to wait to hear back from our representative. Didn't know if anyone here had worked with this model or not.

It's not looking good. I've been on the phone with HP for about an hour now. No luck so far. I have teh guy stumpped. I faxed him all the pages and I've also readjusted teh paper guides. Damn. Oh and I am certified by HP to work on Laserjet 4, 5si, 8000series, 9000 series, 8500 series, 4000 series, and 4500 series. I was just hoping that one of you guys could help. Of all the things that could go wrong. The print is 4mm from the top of the page and 8mm from the bottom of the page on tray four. On trays 2 and 3 it's 5mm from the top and 7mm from the bottom. also they are a bit funky cause the print is 7mm from the top left edge and 6mm from the bottom left edge on all pages. So if anyone has an inkling I'd really really really appreciate any help I can get.

why is it that, the more technologically advanced we get, the harder life gets. isn't technology supposed to make our lives easier?

I know exactly what you mean. Over the Easter holiday, I didn't ouch my computer for 2 days and I got shitloads done. All 3 gardens mowed, weeded, conifers trimmed etc. Cars cleaned, everything.
And at the end of it, you feel good because you've achieved something, rather than sat your ass at the PC all day.
I took 2 years off. I used a computer at work but that was about it. I barely watched any TV since I didn't own one. Well I did own one but it was broken so I used it as a chair.
Left more time for getting drunk at the bars now that I think about it.
