Security on a network printer

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax (More info?)

I am trying to set up a printer to work in a network off
of Windows XP Professional. It has worked before with 2
other computers on my home network, but an older IBM 380D
running Win 98SE won't work.

I can do so from other printers off other PC's on the
network.

I get an error as"Unknown error 31".

I can set up the sharing and a network printer ok, but
this is just not working.

Please help.
