I want to buy a fan for the back of my case that will help the air flow through the back of the case. I have a regualr ATX case and I just need to know what size fan I should buy.

I assume you have at least one or two case fan mounting points on your case. If so they'll be for 80mm fans. As to the type...it depends on if you want silent running, max airflow or something in between.

Search the boards. Lots of fans recommendations in this section.

Use a ruler to measuer the distance. 60mm or 80mm should be the figures. Start by doing that first.

What's a good fan for the Swiftech MCXC370 heatsink with low noise level? The rpm determines the noise level, correct? Is Papst fan any good?

i have heard good things about the pabst fans...supposed to be pretty quiet.
and the loudness is not always determined by the rpm!

i have some little tiny fans that are pretty slow, but are pretty loud.
and i have some larger fans that are much faster and about the same volume.
i think it has most to do with the fan blade design, and how it cuts thrrough the air...after that, then rpm plays a factor.
