I want to finish off my order from newegg tonight one quick question. I need advice on a heatsink + fan for my new XP1900 oem. I got the abit KR7A-RAID MB if that helps. OCing is not a big concern of mine but I would like the room to expand if I change my mind. I will be draging it all over so it needs to be sturdy. So to sum it up I want good quality but don’t need the biggest badass OC setup.

Last thing this is my first post here so a big howdy to all.

Coolermaster makes a nice one. I've got one in mine, and it takes a beating in my truck. Hasn't given me any problems.

The new year seems to be indistinguishable from the old one.

everytime that you put a sig, digital trucker...is that like where you are?
drivin your truck?
also, how are you accessing the net?
just wondering..because if your comp is in a truck...there is no real way to have a hard wire connected to it....

oh, and as far as the heatsink goes, coolermasters are good. used to have something, i think it was a coolermaster on my old pentium233mmx...and that thing was made very well, and cooled pretty good.
right now, i am running a volcano6cu made by thermaltake. cost me all of $13(US0, and keeps my cpu under 42°C since i added my arctic silver. right now, it is runnin at 37°C (SANDRA READING).
my friend has an xp1600+ running with a 6cu+ which is only like 2 degrees higher than mine...idle....both temps are idle temps...
loaded, my cpu never goes over 45 or 46°C, before my arctic silver, it would go as high as 49°C.
so if you do like i did, and get a volcano series(Volceno6cu and above), and some arctic silver, you will have quite a cooling setup, that is cheap, quiet (as long as it is not the 6cu+, note the +!!!!)
and you will keep your cpu well within the recommended operating temps for your processor.
