To expand slightly on Russ's response, you can't simply share a Fax
Printer, and the native XP Fax service does not support any form of
sharing.

Third party fax programs frequently do support sharing of the Fax
service that they supply - this usually requires that their driver or
other software be running on (and sometimes have been purchased
separately for) both the system with the fax modem and the system from
which the fax request originates..

Expanding further more.... Fax printers can be shared in server OS
viz..Windows Server 2000 SBS,Windows Server 2003..
