Radeon 7690M XT v. Radeon 6750M

I'm looking to buy a new laptop, and I'd like to be able to play some demanding games like Anno 2070. Right now its between a Samsung Series 7 (w/ 6750m, 8GB RAM, i7) and an HP Dv6 (w/ 7690m XT, 6 GB RAM, i5). I'm really having a hard time figuring out which is better equipped for gaming, since the Samsung has more processing but the HP seems to have the better GPU. Any advice?

Out of those two the 7690M XT should outperform the 6750M. I'd take an i5 with better graphics over an i7 any day. However, I know HP makes a Dv6t-7000 with an Nvidia GT 650M and that would be better than either option. Remember you can't upgrade later so get what you can at purchase.

All - if not known, AMD still doesn't provide a driver for the7690M and instead runs it just like a 6750 at the 800 Mhz versus the 900 Mhz that the 7690M supports. Also doesn't support Switchable Graphics and doesn't support Open GL Applications and therefore have to run it on Fixed Graphics via BIOS setting.
