Athlon unstable?

Buying a new computer, deciding on which chip... leaning towards an AthlonXP, but I've read reviews saying they are unstable and crash. Is this something to be really concerned about? I don't like the p4/RAM options out there... either expensive RDRAM or sucky SDRAM.

Your CPU will only get unstable if the temps are to high, or if you have a crappy motherboard, mem or powersupply. If you have proper cooling and a good board and mem they will be rock stable.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground  .

Most AMD problems are related to either VIA chipsets, poor quality power supplies, or defective memory. I suggest an Iwill XP333 motherboard, Enermax power supply, and Crucial or Corsair memory.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
