BE6 and overclocking?

I just bought a p3 850 CPU for my old BE6 board. Has anyone had luck overclocking this board with this CPU? Going by the bios updates this is the max CPU the board can handle not overclocked. Has anyone tried a higher p3 chip with success? Say maybe a 1.1 GHZ CPU? I know this board is highly tweakable and I have 8 fans in my case.

Are you the friend who works on computers?

The 850 is the fastest ordinary 100MHz FSB PIII available and will work fine. You can overclock it, but not very far, around 1GHz using bus speed. You can use a 133MHz FSB processor as well, such as the 1000EB, but you'll need PC133 SDRAM and, because the AGP bus is overclocked, a fairly recent video card.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
