Hello everyone,

I am looking to build a gaming desktop to effectively run BF3 on the highest settings while maintaining a smooth 60 FPS. Ideally, I would like to play BF3 with 63 other players without any frame rate issues. I saved up a lot of money, but I do not wish to overpay to reach my goal. I will be playing on a 55" Samsung LED in 1080p.

Please see below to see my starting point - I am asking you to give me advice on what parts I should keep/change. I am also interested in your expectations - whether or not my goal is achievable with the current parts, if I should take another route, etc.

As I mentioned before, I saved up a lot of money, but this build seems like I might be overpaying. I look forward to reading the community's advice. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your time!

Nice build, now I get to make suggestions :)

You do not need an 850W PSU by any means. 600W would do just fine. You can save a bunch of money there. An ANTEC Earthwatt 650 will do just fine as a suggestion, but there are alot of good PSU's out there. Also, if you do this and drop the audio card you can up your GTX570 to a 670. THAT is where you want to be at. The 670 will perform MUCH better than the 570. I had a 580 and would only run BF3 on High. I upgraded to a 680 and it runs Ultra all day long.

I see you went with Sandy bridge instead of ivy bridge. I'd go with the new tech, but I know there are OC reasons to go with a sandy bridge. So I can't say anything if that is your choice. Also, look out for SSD deals. I've seen a few 128GB drives for $90 hear and there on Newegg. 60GB won't get you to far.
