Hey, i've been reading about case cooling via fans and was wondering if there is a benefit to filtering the air coming into your computer... I know a downside to it is reduced air flow, but all i was wondering is is it realy worth it? or is it just for a clean case? Thanks.

Dust is part of it. Partly because cleanliness, but mostly because of the effect dust has on temperatures. The more dust that sits on components, the more heat gets insulated.

Also, filters won't stop dust completely, but they do stop larger problems like carpet fluff or pet hairs.
