i want to set up a LAN with two computers so we(my friend and i)can play games.
All i need is two NIC's and a CROSSED cable...right?

also, can someone suggest a good LAN guide online?

yep, xover cable if going pc to pc, straight cable if going through a hub, what windows do you have?

ahh beat me to it lol a hub or router is a good idea if you have broadband and <A HREF="http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/" target="_new"> this </A> site is the one I would recommend also
