If I buy a PS3 in Canada can my friend take it to Argentina for his kids to use? Will the games they buy in Argentina work on a Canadian PS3?

im 90% positive it will work because i bought a game from amazon and when it came in the mail the disk was from Canada and i have a united states ps3 and it worked just fine

Like dvd's, blue ray is region locked. Fortunately I think region 1 is all of the americas and this seems to confirm it.

Yes, you can.

PS3 games are region free. The only thing you have to watch out for is that if they want DLC, then make sure they make an account that has Argentina listed as their home.

Blu-Ray films however, are region locked. So they won't works.



To sum up: PS3 Games = Work, Blu-Ray Movie = No Work.
