Anyone know where I can buy a replacement fan/heatsink for a Notebook (laptop) computer (Mobile Pentium 3 Speedstep 800 MHz)- it has gone very noisy & I'm scared it may stop! Seems to be in one unit. Preferably UK supplier but if necessary I can mail order from USA. Help please!

I'd contact the manufacturer, Im not too well up on notebooks but Im sure the fans will be available, as for it stopping, I wouldnt be over concerned, especially with a pentium, fans often start making a racket, but packing up totally is not common at all, and on an intel system, I'd have thought you would see lockups/reboots long before the fan actually died, I had one (a dodgy fan) on one of my other boxes and it ran for the best part of 6 months before I got round to changing it (its buried under my desk and is major surgery to get to it)
