How to make pc games work on your pc?

I have a pc game called xmen legends 2 Rise of Apocalypse and i compac computer and it won't work when i put the disc in and nothing shows up can you please help me i need help and its a brand new game also.

You have to tell us more about your PC like what is your CPU, graphics card (GPU), power supply (PSU), mother board (MOBO), hard drive (HDD), and how much memory (RAM) you have?
