Yep, just curious.
In case you wonder why I wonder (?), a while ago my fan stopped spinning when I messed inside the case, I don´t know for how long...but when I checked the temps it read 60c.
Is it possible to disable the fan for a longer period and still get reasonable temps? <65c

What CPU are you using? It will depend on the core. If the machine is older like a PII or a K6-2 it won't matter. If the core is newer it might.

i tried underclocking my tbird and got it running at 800mhz with the glaciator II and no fan running, with enermax power supply and near silent case fans, but who wants 800mhz and no noise when you can be running it at 1.5+ ghz with not much more noise because youve got an AXP running with the fan on in the same room? at 800mhz with no fan i was getting temps in the low 60s after 24 hours of 100% cpu load

if in doubt blame microsoft...
