Monitor buzzes when turned on

Hello,
This only happens for maybe 10-15 seconds when I turn on the monitor. Buzzing sound and slight flicker in the screen. Is there any thing I can do?

Welcome to the forums, Gwen

Sounds like the power supply in the monitor.

Possible solutions:
Take it back to Apple for repair if it is still under warranty.
Because the problem is temporary, ignore it.
Do not turn the monitor off.

Could be a loose connection on your PC .

It's an Optiquest Q9. Everything is plugged in tight, just purchased a new Apple mini-dvi to vga cable. Nothing made a difference so far.
