Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone out there managed to overclock an P4 1.5 or 1.6 (Socket 478) to 133 MHz FSB with air cooling (this should be between 1.995 and 2.128 GHz what is in P4 spec). If yes, on which of the following chipset(s): SiS645 (A2), KX266A, i845D; and which board do you recommend.

Be cool.

I doubt it, those boards don't have as much overclocking headroom for the FSB.

BTW, it's P4X266a, not KX266a.

Original Config:
P4 1.6Gig
GA8ITXE MB
256PC800 RDRam
40Gig Seagate 7200Rpm
9.1Gig Seagate 5400
Audigy 5.1 Digital card
Inspire 5300 5.1 spkrs
17" Samsung 753DF
Creative 256 32MB Geforce

The GA8iTXE Gigabyte Motherboard which supports FSB upto 133, but it jumps from 120Mhz to 133.3 so my processor only goes upto 120x16=1920Mhz ie if i lower my mem bus to 300Mhz instead of 400mhz so its working @ 3x120x2= 720Mhz
But system doesn't boot if i increase it to 133Mhz. If there was anyother setting between 120 and 133, maybe it might have touched 2Gig.
