Microsoft Document Image Writer

After running windows update, I can no longer use the document image writer.
The "printer" is no longer installed on my pc. I have run office 2003 repair
as well as removing and adding the Microsoft Office Document Imaging program
from installation cd. I can run document imaging, but if I try to import a
file, it tells me that the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer is not
installed. Any suggestions are appreciated.
